Not very serious if the author's goal was to find out what really happened but pretty effecient if her goal was to play with doubts and little revealed facts (at the time) and sell as many books (and tapes) as possible. All her theories have since then received complete and appropriate answers and no doubt remains possible : Elvis did die alone in his bathroom on August 16, 1977 although some people try to perpetuate the hoax... in their best interests?
