It was he who introduced monuments of artists to the world: Johnny Cash, Howlin' Wolf, B.B. King, Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Charlie Rich, Rufus Thomas, Ike Turner and of course the greatest of them all: Elvis Presley. His sense of music and creative vision allowed him to discover artists with a very typical style, who performed their songs full of raw emotion in the tiny studio at 706 Union Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. The songs recorded at this address pushed music history in a completely different direction once and for all. This book was published as a companion guide to the exhibition at the Country Music Hall Of Fame And Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.
